Through the columns of hides produced various types of leather. Cowhides for example are approximately five to ten millimeters thick, it can be grain leather and split leather win. The split leather is rough on both sides and usually 1.2 mm thick. Through tanning and technical equipment arising from split leather functional leather: Leather heat protection are extremely heat-resistant, flame-resistant and hardly shrink.

Water and oil repellent leather can be achieved by appropriate impregnation.
